Uninstalling the Plugin On Windows

Navigate to 'Add or Remove Programs', search for 'OpenAsset for InDesign Plugin', click on the result that you get, and you should see an option to 'Uninstall'.

If you don't find the plugin in your programs, you can uninstall the plugin manually by deleting the following files in your system:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\com.axomic.openassetforindesign.extension
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\com.axomic.openassetforindesignmsi.extension
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Axomic
C:\Users\Public\OpenAsset_Files

Deleting these files will remove the plugin.

These are the likely paths that the plugin may be stored under.

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/Extensions/

~/Library/Application Support/Axomic

Typically, the plugin would be under that first file path and under the name 'com.axomic.openassetforindesign.extension' or something very similar. After you delete that folder, Apple uninstall instructions also recommend removing it from your 'Trash' folder, as well.

You can make sure that the plugin is uninstalled by opening up InDesign, clicking 'Window' > 'Extensions', and 'OpenAsset' should no longer be an option there. If OpenAsset was your only plugin, you might not even see the 'Extensions' option, which also means that the plugin was successfully uninstalled.
