Do you want to reduce the time it takes to keep the list of projects in OpenAsset up to date? By using Zapier you can integrate GitHub with OpenAsset in countless different ways!

For example, you can:

  • Create a new project in OpenAsset when you add a repo to GitHub.

  • Update project fields in OpenAsset with key data from GitHub repos.

Getting started

It is super simple to get up and running with Zapier integrations, below we outline the steps to get you started.

  1. Create a Zapier account. You can create an account for free!

  2. Create an integration. Below are some sample integration you could try out.

Sample integrations

Create a project in OpenAsset for a new repo in GitHub

This Zapier integration will create a new project in OpenAsset every time someone creates a new GitHub repo.

It will have a single trigger and action.

You could map the GitHub repo name to the OpenAsset project code, and the GitHub repo description to the OpenAsset project name.

Remember to make sure it is turned on.

Here's how the new project created in OpenAsset was displayed in GitHub.
