OpenAsset offers an integration with Unanet CRM by Cosential. This syncs Project, Employee and Role information to OpenAsset on a daily basis, maintaining Unanet CRM as their 'source of truth' for this data. Users also have the option to send images from OpenAsset to Unanet CRM.

The Image Uploader must first be activated by a System Administrator and user groups enabled to use the uploader via Group Permissions. Read more about this here.

Follow these steps to use the Unanet CRM Connector Image Uploader:

Make your Selection of Images

Find the files in OpenAsset you would like to send to Unanet CRM, then add these files to your 'Selected' tab by selecting the blue checkmark on the image thumbnails.

All the files within your 'Selected' tab will be sent to Unanet CRM so you may wish to clear your selection before adding new files.

When you are happy with your selection, click the Unanet Logo in OpenAsset Action Bar.

Send to Unanet CRM

Selecting the Unanet CRM icon will launch the following menu.

Depending on whether you are exporting Project or Employee files, select Project or Personnel. You can also select the desired file size to export to Unanet CRM. You can select multiple sizes to upload.

Using the search bar, search for the corresponding Project or Personnel object within Unanet CRM, then click 'Send Files'

Once the upload has completed, you will see the following confirmation message.

Limitations to the Unanet CRM Connector Image Uploader

There are a few minor limitations to the functionality of the Image Uploader.

  • Copyright Character Limits - any Copyright naming convention over 40 characters will be truncated on the OpenAsset side to match the Unanet CRM limit.

  • Keyword Limits - the connector transmits a maximum of 5 keywords, selecting the first five in alphabetical order. Any more than 5 keywords are hidden from view in the Unanet CRM field.
