WordPress Connector v6.1 — Enhanced Logging & In-App Debug Tools

Overview

WordPress Connector v6.1 introduces enhanced logging controls and in-app debug log access, making it faster and easier to troubleshoot sync issues directly from your WordPress admin — no server access required.

What's new

Enhanced Logging Controls

  • Basic logging is now always on by default with no setup required

  • A new "Enable Detailed Logging" toggle provides deeper diagnostics visibility into what's happening during syncs

Debug Logs — Now Accessible In-App

  • View logs directly inside WordPress from the Sync Logs page — no server access needed

  • Download logs instantly to share with your team or with Support

  • Eliminates the need for SSH or backend access to retrieve log files

Why it matters

This is a significant improvement to the troubleshooting experience:

  • Faster issue resolution — No more waiting on server access or backend teams to pull log files. Everything is available directly in your WordPress admin.

  • Better visibility into sync behavior — Detailed logging gives you a clearer picture of what's happening during syncs, making it easier to identify where issues occur.

  • Easier collaboration with Support — Download a log file and share it directly. No back-and-forth coordinating server access.

  • Less technical lift — Your team doesn't need SSH credentials or backend familiarity. The entire workflow happens in the WP admin.

Getting started

  1. Navigate to the Sync Logs page in your WordPress admin

  2. Toggle on "Enable Detailed Logging" if you need deeper diagnostics

  3. Run a sync

  4. Download and review the log, or share it with Support

Additional updates

This release also includes one bug fix with no expected customer impact.

WordPress Connector v6.0 — Redesigned Settings & Onboarding Experience

Overview

WordPress Connector v6.0 is a UX/UI-focused update that improves usability, onboarding, and overall presentation of the plugin experience inside WordPress.

What's new

  • Redesigned settings layout with a cleaner, more intuitive organization

  • New welcome screen with guided onboarding for first-time users

  • Improved sync visibility with clearer status indicators and top-of-page placement

  • New dashboard featuring sync stats, graphs, and recent activity at a glance

Why it matters

This update makes it easier to set up, monitor, and manage your OpenAsset–WordPress connection — especially for teams onboarding new users or managing multiple syncs.

The new dashboard gives you a quick snapshot of sync health and activity without navigating away from the main plugin screen. And the reorganized settings layout keeps all existing functionality intact while making it more discoverable.

What to expect

Settings and navigation have been reorganized, so some options may be in a new location. All functionality remains the same. Updated documentation is on the way.

New Product Update: Text Library Linking to Projects and Employees

Overview

Text Library now supports linking text assets directly to Projects and Employees in OpenAsset DAM. This enhancement allows firms to manage standardized narrative content centrally while associating it with the relevant records across the platform.

What’s new

  • Text assets can be linked directly to Projects & Employees

  • Linked text assets remain centrally managed in the Text Library while being associated with selected records

Why it matters

This helps teams stay organized around content that is commonly used together when writing proposals.

For Projects, this includes things like service descriptions, testimonials, or award copy that is consistently used when writing about a specific project.

For Employees, this includes standardized bios, credential descriptions, or role-specific language that is reused across proposals.

Linked text assets remain centrally managed in the Text Library while being associated with the relevant Project or Employee record.

Example use cases

  • Link approved award narratives to Projects for consistent, reusable award copy

  • Link credential descriptions (e.g. LEED AP, PE, PMP) to Employees

  • Maintain standardized language for market expertise, leadership messaging, and firm culture, linked to relevant Employees
