Do you want to reduce the time it takes to upload or download files with OpenAsset? By using Zapier you can integrate OneDrive with OpenAsset in countless different ways!

For example, you can:

  • Create a "watch folder" in OneDrive and have any new files added to it uploaded to OpenAsset automatically.

  • Save a copy of any newly uploaded file to OneDrive.

Getting started

It is super simple to get up and running with Zapier integrations, below we outline the steps to get you started.

  1. Create a Zapier account. You can create an account for free!

  2. Create an integration. Below are some sample integrations you could try out.

Sample integrations

Upload a new file in a OneDrive folder to OpenAsset

This Zapier automation can upload any new files added to a folder in OneDrive to OpenAsset with zero effort from you.

First create a folder in OneDrive, and put a test image in it.

Pick the folder when configuring the OneDrive part of the integration.

You'll need to choose the Category in OpenAsset where you want the files uploaded to.

Remember to make sure it is turned on.

There are some other fields you can optionally fill in when a file is uploaded.

Backup any file uploaded to OpenAsset to a folder in OneDrive

First create a OneDrive folder to copy files to.

Create a new Zap.

Choose OpenAsset for the Trigger App.

Trigger on New File.

Pick "Original" for the Size (please note, other sizes might not have been created yet when the New File trigger runs).

Pick OneDrive as the Action.

And "Upload File".

Choose the "Folder" in OneDrive you created at the start, and "Sizes URL" as the "File"

It will fill in the path to the Original file in OpenAsset.

Remember to turn it on at the end.
