Default User Preferences allow System Administrators to configure default settings for users' OpenAsset interfaces, and choose which options they can override with their own preferences.

User Preferences include options for how assets are displayed in their system such as the number of images displayed, the information displayed on image thumbnails and the default search sort order.

Setting Default User Preferences

Select 'System Settings' from the cog icon in the top header. Navigate to 'Users', 'Default User Preferences' in the settings menu.

From the following page, you can select options for all configurable Default User Preferences. To allow users to set their own preferences, select the 'User Can Override' checkbox next to the relevant field.

Setting the default language for users

System admins are able to set the default language available for users, allowing you to localise your system for different regions. Currently the available languages are English and German, with other languages coming soon.

To change the default language in your system, select your chosen language from the 'Language' drop-down menu.
