Episode 3: OpenAsset + Perkins Eastman (December 2023)

This was our first in-person fireside chat! We visited the Perkins Eastman office in NYC and spoke with Caroline Donadio, Digital Asset Manager.

1. Implementation: Addressing data integrity early on was essential to the success of the Employee Module. Caroline reviewed the systems that feed data into OpenAsset (Deltek Vision & Paylocity) to ensure that for the most important fields, those systems had correct and up to date information.

2. Launch: Caroline emphasized outreach and education to ensure a successful launch of the Employee Module. This included running a pilot program with a few people, hosting a few training sessions (we host these too!), and collecting feedback from users on what they liked and where they were getting stuck.

3. Ongoing maintenance: Perkins Eastman maximizes their investment in OpenAsset by ensuring there is ownership of the software. This can be a single person or group of people. It can be a full time job (ex: DAM Manager), or just a few hours per month. The important thing is that there is someone at the firm who understands how the software works, and manages it to ensure it's an effective tool for the team.
